The Tucson United States Penitentiary is a medium-security federal institution.

Along with the main campus at the Tucson United States Penitentiary there is a minimum-security prison camp.

The Tucson United States Penitentiary opened its doors back in 2007. You may not know that Tucson United States Penitentiary was one of three facilities that are in the Pima.

Sending mail is going to be an easy task. It is not as daunting as it may seem. Nearly everything is okay to send, if it follows the guidelines. The guidelines are simple. If you wouldn’t want someone else to open and read the mail because of its contents, then it probably should not be sent.

Please understand that you can send care packages, but you will need to have prior approval from the Tucson United States Penitentiary.

Visitation

The main campus and the minimum-security camp have the same visitation schedule.

The current visitation schedule is on Saturdays and Sunday between the hours of 8 am to 3 pm.

You will be permitted to visit only during those hours and those times with inmates in Tucson United States Penitentiary
