When it comes to the state facilities the Connecticut Department of Corrections will be responsible for ensuring and answering any and all questions, comments, and concerns. What is under the corrections department? The following is under the corrections department:

As of today, the DOC has 18 state facilities in Connecticut. Their main headquarters is in Wethersfield. 

The first-ever state correctional center in Connecticut was Old Negate Jail. This facility opened its doors back in 1705 and was in constant operation throughout many decades. The facility was heavily used during the Progressive War. 

The main and first correctional facility within the state of Connecticut is known as the Old Negate Jail. The Old Negate Jail started its operation in 1705. The state of Connecticut would use this facility during the Progressive War. 

In 2015, the capital punishment was abolished, which meant there would be no more executions taken place at the Osborn facility. All death row inmates, however, are kept in the Northern Correctional Facility. They’ve been kept here for the past 25 years.
