About Florida Department of Corrections

When it comes to all the United States the third biggest department is known as the Florida Department of Corrections. The Florida DOC is given every year around $2.7 million to spend annually. 

As an average of just about every year, the Florida Department of Corrections is responsible for over 95,000 detainees in one of their facilities in the Sunshine State. But that is not all the detainees that the Florida Department of Corrections has custody over. The Florida Department of Corrections also has custody of another 164,000 who will either be in a probation or parole office. 

All in all, the Florida Department of Corrections operates offices throughout the states. The office total is over 140 offices. These offices can be parole offices, probation offices, jail camps, private facilities, or state-operated correctional facilities.
