What most people that do not know is that the Department of Corrections inside the state government of Indiana is the largest organization. 

Many people must stop and wonder why it is the biggest department. Well, what you may or may not know is that the Department of Corrections is the employer of over 6,000 people within the state. These people are in custody of 450 adolescents, 25,000 adults, and 10,000 parolees. 

As of 2020, the Department of Corrections are running the following:

• 5 Adolescent Buildings
• 18 Adult Buildings

As previously mentioned, the Department of Corrections inside the Indiana state is responsible for every aspect of the corrections in the state government.
