Inmates in the Sedgwick County Residential Center can receive written letters from their loved ones back home. These letters cannot contain stamps, checks, cash, or pictures. You are only permitted to send them a handwritten letter.

Sending Money

Please note that the Sedgwick County Residential Center does not accept money orders.

The Sedgwick County Residential Center now uses inmatedeposits.com. You will need to create an account to send money to an inmate.

With this service you will be permitted to make deposits on a daily, weekly, or even a monthly basis. Each deposit can be up to $300.

Phone calls

Inmates cannot take phone calls, but inmates can make phone calls. All outgoing phone calls from the Sedgwick County Residential Center will be collect calls.

You will need to have a landline phone to receive these phone calls. You will also need to know that these phone calls will be at your expense. Inmates will not be paying for this service and neither is the Sedgwick County Residential Center.

Visitation

The Sedgwick County Residential Center permits inmates to have 3 visits per week. Visiting hours at the Sedgwick County Residential Center goes as follows:

In order to visit an inmate, you will need to first and foremost bring your driver’s license to be allowed into the visitation area. All visits with inmates in the Sedgwick County Residential Center are no-contact visits. You will be sitting behind a glass partition when visiting the inmate. There will be no touching involved or allowed.
