You should also know that the current list of inmates is always updated between Monday through Friday from the hour of 6 am to 7 am. So, any new arrests or releases of inmates that happens after this hour, will not be shown in this report. However, it will be shown in tomorrow's report though.

Please do not send any packages from Amazon to inmates in the St. James Youth Center. All Amazon packages will be refused.

All incoming mail that is sent to the inmate will be required to be sent through the United States Postal Service.

You can also send inmates books, newspapers, and magazines. All books must be paperback and new. These items are also required to be sent directly from the publisher or a bookstore.

If you would like to send a package to an inmate, you will need to get prior approval from the staff at the St. James Youth Center.

Sending Money

You cannot come to the St. James Youth Center and hand them a money order anymore. If you are in jail, you can deposit money in the kiosk that is in the lobby.

If you do not live close to the St. James Youth Center you can deposit money online on inmatecanteen.com. You will need to create an account first. You will not be permitted to deposit more than $500 in 30 rolling days.

Phone calls

The St. James Youth Center limits inmates phone conversation to 15-minutes max.

The St. James Youth Center contracts with Securus Technology for their phone needs. However, inmates will still have the option to use collect calls as well.

Visitation

For you to visit an inmate in the St. James Youth Center, you will need to schedule yourself an appointment. The St. James Youth Center allows you to schedule your appointment online. You will need to make your appointment at least one day prior to visiting.

If you do not have access to the web, you can come down to the St. James Youth Center and use the kiosk located in the lobby to schedule your visitation appointment.

All visits at the St. James Youth Center are non-contact visits. Visits will be video chats. All visits will be monitored.

When visiting you should arrive at the St. James Youth Center for at least 10 minutes before your appointment starts. You will need to have your government issued photo identification card on your person to be permitted into the facility.

Inmates in the St. James Youth Center are only permitted to have two 25-minute visits every calendar week.

You are permitted to have up to 4 people in your group.
