The Department of Corrections within Massachusetts is a great department that is nestled in the state government here in the awesome state of Massachusetts. The Massachusetts Department of Correction will have individuals in their facilities, on house arrest, parole, or probation as young as 16 years of age. 

While yes, that is a minor in many of the state’s eyes, this is considered an adult in the Department of Corrections within Massachusetts. You will never find anyone younger in the department. 

Please understand that the Department of Corrections in Massachusetts is not only responsible for those who are incarcerated in one of their many prisons, but they are also in charge of those who have been paroled, been put on probation or house arrest.
