The Missouri Department of Corrections is a division that handles all things corrections inside the state government of Missouri. This is a unique division because it deals with one of the biggest issues of the state, the prison structure.
The Department of Corrections in Missouri has many strategic plans. Their plans are always and will always be keeping their operating levels that surpass the prior years before. They are always looking to improve this, hence why they make these operating goals at the end of every work year.
As of 2020, the Department of Corrections in Missouri is employing more than 11,000 individuals. Most of these individuals that are employed by the Department of Corrections in Missouri are correctional officers. These correctional officers can work inside or outside of these prisons, but everyone is stationed inside the state of Missouri in one of the 25 facilities.
