Inmates in the Mineral County Detention Center will need funds to purchase items from the commissary. The commissary is where inmates can purchase items such as the following:

You can come down to the Mineral County Detention Center and hand in a money order with the inmate’s full name, date of birth, and their identification number on it. At the Mineral County Detention Center, you will have the chance to have the inmate call you. The inmate will only have the option to call collect. If you only have a cell phone, you will not be able to get these phone calls from the inmate.

Calling collect does not allow you to call cell phones. Inmates will, however, be allowed to get through people who still have a landline phone.

You, the receiver of the phone call will be responsible for any and all charges that are associated with the collect call. The Mineral County Detention Center takes no responsibility in any charges that may occur.
