Inmates in the Cortland County Jail can receive written letters from their loved ones back home. These letters cannot contain stamps, checks, cash, or pictures. You are only permitted to send them a handwritten letter.

Sending Money

Please note that the Cortland County Jail does not accept money orders.

Phone calls

Inmates cannot take phone calls, but inmates can make phone calls. All outgoing phone calls from the Cortland County Jail will be collect calls.

You will need to have a landline phone to receive these phone calls. You will also need to know that these phone calls will be at your expense. Inmates will not be paying for this service and neither is the Cortland County Jail.
