Sending Money

Phone calls

Inmates cannot take phone calls, but inmates can make phone calls. All outgoing phone calls from the Durham County Detention Facility will be collect calls.

You will need to have a landline phone to receive these phone calls. You will also need to know that these phone calls will be at your expense. Inmates will not be paying for this service and neither is the Durham County Detention Facility.

In order to visit an inmate, you will need to first and foremost bring your driver’s license to be allowed into the visitation area. All visits with inmates in the Durham County Detention Facility are no-contact visits. You will be sitting behind a glass partition when visiting the inmate.
