Phone calls
The Wake County Detention Division allows inmates to make collect calls to their loved ones back home. These calls will be monitored and recorded. You will not be permitted to use any of your phone features such as call waiting, call forwarding, or three-way calling.
All calls will be limited to 15-minutes. This is to allow all inmate the chance to use the telephones, if they choose to.
Visitation
For you to visit an inmate in the Wake County Detention Division, you will need to schedule an appointment. To schedule an appointment, you will need to call 919-733-7988. You can schedule an appointment between 10:30 am to 3:30 pm, seven days a week.
You should know that inmates are only permitted to having two visits every calendar month. In your party, you can only have one child visit at a time.
You will need to have a government-issued identification card with you and your children’s birth certificates.
If you must cancel your visitation appointment, you will need to do so at least two hours in advance. If you fail to show up two times in a calendar month or 3 times in a row, you may lose your privilege to visit at the Wake County Detention Division.
