USP Canaan is short for Waymart Federal Correctional Institution.

The USP Canaan is a medium-security federal facility in Pennsylvania. Just many other federal correctional institutions there is a main campus with a minimum-security satellite prison camp adjacent.

The USP Canaan can house up to 1410 totals. This also includes those in the prison camp. The break down is 143 inmates in the prison camp alongside another 1,500 in the main campus.

You will be able to send the following items:

You can send the inmate a care package, but before you do that, you will need to have prior approval from the facility.

You will need to send inmates money using the following methods:

All outgoing calls from the USP Canaan will be monitored. Inmates can only use the phone for 300 minutes a month. But throughout the days, inmates will be limited to 15-minute phone conversations, so their fellow inmates can also have access to the telephones.

Before, you will be permitted to visit an inmate in the USP Canaan, you will need to fill out and submit the following visitor application.

This visitor application will then need to be approved by the facility prior to you being allowed to visit during the visitation days.
