Inmates in the Lubbock County Detention Center can receive written letters from their loved ones back home. These letters cannot contain stamps, checks, cash, or pictures. You are only permitted to send them a handwritten letter.

Sending Money
Please note that the Lubbock County Detention Center does not accept money orders.

Phone calls
Inmates cannot take phone calls, but inmates can make phone calls. All outgoing phone calls from the Lubbock County Detention Center will be collect calls.
You will need to have a landline phone to receive these phone calls. You will also need to know that these phone calls will be at your expense. Inmates will not be paying for this service and neither is the Lubbock County Detention Center.
Visitation
The Lubbock County Detention Center permits inmates to have 3 visits per week. Visiting hours at the Lubbock County Detention Center goes as follows:
In order to visit an inmate, you will need to first and foremost bring your driver’s license to be allowed into the visitation area. All visits with inmates in the Lubbock County Detention Center are no-contact visits. You will be sitting behind a glass partition when visiting the inmate. There will be no touching involved or allowed.
