Inmates in the King County Youth Service Center will need funds to purchase items from the commissary. The commissary is where inmates can purchase items such as the following:

You can come down to the King County Youth Service Center and hand in a money order with the inmate’s full name, date of birth, and their identification number on it. The staff member can then deposit the funds into the inmate’s account, so the inmate can purchase what he or she needs from the commissary.
Phone calls
At the King County Youth Service Center, you will have the chance to have the inmate call you. The inmate will only have the option to call collect. If you only have a cell phone, you will not be able to get these phone calls from the inmate.
Calling collect does not allow you to call cell phones. Inmates will, however, be allowed to get through people who still have a landline phone.
You, the receiver of the phone call will be responsible for any and all charges that are associated with the collect call. The King County Youth Service Center takes no responsibility in any charges that may occur.

All visitation here at the King County Youth Service Center is through a glass partition. You will not have any physical contact with the inmate whatsoever.
For you to be permitted into the visitation area, you will need to have your government issued photo identification card on you. If you do not have a government issued photo identification card, you will not be permitted to visit at the King County Youth Service Center.
